Your Obscure Disney Character of the Day is the muse Thalia, from 1997’s Hercules. Thalia is a beautiful woman of size whose character design I greatly admire - it’s not often that a female character of such curvaceousness is consciously designed to be this sexy. Thalia’s the muse of comedy, which may be read is a commentary on larger women (see Tilda from The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr Toad) but the character is charming and works very well. She was voiced by Broadway actress Roz Ryan.
